Vera Tsaguriya formed Vital Day Spa in February 2003. With an interest in working from the comfort and peacefulness of their North Bethesda home their business grew to attract a broad cliental who favored the privet environment, discounted prices, longer treatment time and professional atmosphere. The salon has the most modern technological equipment and uses the most beneficial skin care products like Dermologica and G.M. Collin. Vera Tsaguriya completed her education at the Yvonne de Villar scientific school in Vienna, Virginia and passed her cosmetology state exam in Baltimore, Maryland in 1998. Vera continued to pursue further educational classes in cosmetology and later in 2007 graduated from the Potomac Massage Train Institute(PMTI) and received license in Massage Therapy. Post graduation, Vera received certificates in Reiki, Shita Massage, Prenatal Massage, Manuel Lymph Drainage, Senior Strength Trainer, and Chinese Acupressure.
Maria Tsaguriya is trained in modern day scissor, razor cutting and color at Arrojo Cosmetology School in Tribeca, with an apprenticeship with Cristiano Cora creative director of Vidal Sassoon in NYC. Additional education with Redken, Wella, Lihah Phan, Fellow Barber, Badlands Salon and Tommy Gun Salon. Permanent Makeup education and certification with Arch Envy in Bethesda. It has been 27 years since the arrival of the Tsaguriya family to America from the Republic of Georgia. They lived an artistic lifestyle, they worked together at the State orchestra of Georgia. They performed at the most prestigious orchestra halls and the most popular cities in the Former Soviet Union.
Vera was a ballet dancer and was taught by the star of the Kirov Ballet Academy by the renown dancer and teacher; Vachtang Chabukiani. After graduating from a ballet school in Georgia she continued to study in the Moscow Ballet Academy and studied to become a ballet teacher. She formed a dance studio in the province of West Georgia after she graduated. She worked as both a teacher and choreographer to bring education to the area students that had never taken ballet classes.
Temur Tsaguriya was a singer. He won the grand price at the International Competition of Singers - twice. Not only was he a singer, but also a song writer who created his own poetry book and also a self produced CD (*Click to hear sample music! ). He continued performing in America and had great reviews from the Washington Post- "Booming Resonant Singing Voice", Washington City Paper- "His deep bass has the schmaltzy old world passion of Mario Lanza", Washington Times-"Is Stunning" and Sidewalk Washington-'Temur Tsaguriya is the standout: with his deep-bass voice."
They have a daughter and son, Victor and Maria. Maria is a fine artist and hairstylist working both in Maryland and NYC. Maria went to Walter Johnson High School and went on to pursue a Fine Arts Degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is currently a hairstylist, PMU artist and esthetician at Vital Day Spa and working on web development and advertising. Victor is married and has a daughter and lives in Gaithersburg and works for the Maryland State Parks.
